India won against Afghanistan by 47 runs while Afghanistan can't chase the target of 182 runs given by India in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and Afghanistan at Kensington Oval Barbados Stadium.
Afghanistan were all out on 134 runs while chasing the target of 182 runs given by India which result them to lose the game. In this game, Afghanistan openers didn't helped them to contribute runs and secure a victory over India. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Hazratullah Zazai goes after scoring 11 runs in 8 balls and 2 runs in 4 balls respectively. While, Gulbadin Naib give some hope to Afghanistan and after some time he also goes after scoring 17 runs in 21 deliveries including one boundary and one six. Azmatullah Omarzai also scoring some runs as he scored 26 runs in 20 balls including two boundary and one six. Similarly, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi and Noor Ahmad scored 19 runs in 17 balls, 14 runs in 14 balls and 12 runs in 18 balls respectively. While, Captain Rashid Khan goes after scoring just 2 runs in 6 balls.
Indian bowlers give pressure to Afghanistan batsman from the beginning. India take already three crucial wickets in first power play. From Indian bowling side, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah take equal three wickets by giving 36 runs and 7 runs in their 4 over spell. Kuldeep Yadav brings two wickets while Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja take equal one wickets for each. Due to outstanding bowling from India against Afghanistan batting side, they successfully restrict Afghanistan in just 134 runs and win the game and brings two points in the Super 8 game.
In the first innings, India lose first two wickets early and after that Indian batters played well and contribute runs to the team. Opener Captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli becomes out after scoring 8 runs in 13 balls and 24 runs in 24 balls respectively. Indian middle order batsman made runs and helped to give the fightable total against Afghanistan. From middle order Rishabh Pant scored 20 runs in 11 balls including 4 boundaries. While, Surya Kumar Yadav scored brilliant half-century as he scored 53 runs in 28 balls including 5 boundaries and 3 sixes. Hardik Pandya scored 32 runs in 24 balls including 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Indian middle and lower order batsman made runs and helped team to win the game.
Afghanistan bowling were good in the first power play but after that they cannot perform good bowling which cost them 181 runs on the board. From Afghanistan bowling side, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Captain Rashid Khan take equal three wickets for the team by giving 33 runs and 26 runs respectively. Naveen-ul-Haq take one wicket by conceding 40 runs in 4 overs. While, other bowlers cannot take wicket against Indian batsman in this game.
Surya Kumar Yadav became Player of the Match(POM) due to his outstanding batting performance which helped team to win this game easily. He scored 53 runs in 28 balls including 5 boundaries and 3 sixes.
