By shocking Bangladesh in the second game in a row, America has won the 3-match T20 series with one game ahead.
Bangladesh won the series by winning two matches continuously. The first match was won by five wickets and then after the second game also won by 6 runs.
In the first game;
The United States met the medium target of 154 runs given by Bangladesh by losing 5 wickets with 3 balls remaining. Corey Anderson scored 34 runs in 25 balls including 2 sixes for USA. Harmeet Singh hit 2 fours and 3 sixes in 13 balls and added 33 runs. Steven Taylor contributed 28 runs and Andres Gus contributed 23 runs.
For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman took 2 wickets and Shoriful Islam and Rishad Hossain took 1 wicket each.
Before that, Bangladesh lost the toss and scored 153 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs at the Prairie View Cricket Ground. Tohid Hridoy scored the highest 58 runs in 47 balls for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah added 31 runs and Soumya Sarkar added 20 runs.
For USA, Steven Taylor took 2 wickets and Saurabh Netrawalkar, Ali Khan and Jesse Singh took 1 wicket each.
In the second game;
Chasing the target of 145 runs given by the US, Bangladesh can only achieve to 138 runs with 3 balls remaining. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto scored the highest 36 runs in 34 balls. Shakib Al Hasan added 30 runs off 23 balls. Towhid Hridoy scored 25 runs off 21 balls.
For America, pacer Ali Khan took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 3.3 overs. Similarly, Saurabh Netravalkar and Shadley van Schalkwyk took 2 wickets each while Jasdeep Sign and Corey Anderson took 1 wicket each.
Before that, America lost the toss and scored 144 runs after losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. For America, captain Monank Patel scored the highest 42 runs from 38 balls. Aaron Jones scored 35 runs off 34 balls while another opener Steven Taylor added 31 runs.
Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Rishad Hossain of Bangladesh took 2 wickets each.
